Education Special: The Raspberry Pi Foundation

A number of visitors to this website have been interested in education. A big movement in education right now is the work being done by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, a UK based charity, one of whose goals is to see cheap accessible programmable computers everywhere.

The Raspberry Pi is a device designed to encourage more children to learn programming but equally it has been attracting the attention of hobbyists and businesses too. It has in mind the legacy and tradition of the BBC's Model A and Model B computers that were actively used in schools throughout the 80's. The Raspberry Pi Foundation are actively encouraging other companies to clone what they are doing.

This page provides some links to the Raspbery Pi project.
